Medicine
The very thing that is supposed to make you better, may be what it making you sick. Your medicine may contain hidden glutens that are doing more harm than good. Most companies add "fillers" to the drugs to provide shape and bulk and to aid in water absorbtion. Some of those fillers are made from wheat. Unfortunately many doctors and even pharmacists cannot always tell you if your medication is gluten-free. Always check with the pharmaceutical company that produced your medicine before filling your prescription.
There are some lists and partial lists of gluten-free medicines available on the web if you look around. Some are available for free and others you must pay a fee for.
Please check the blog for more information on medications that are safe for you.
